Looking Forward to Big Bite 2014!!

The Big Bite will be partnering with the Southdowns Folk Festival & Hotham Park Trust, they have invited us to join them on the 27th & 28th September this year, which is just 2 weeks after our original planned date for the Big Bite.

We feel moving our dates to the 27th & 28th September is a great option for us to deliver a vibrant event that is well attended and we look forward to bringing 15,000 thousand of our loyal followers to what is undoubtedly going to be a great festival.

We will be updating you on the content for the 2014 shortly, so do keep up to date with the Big Bite site and if you have any ideas or would like any further information do contact us, we would love to hear from you.

A massive thank you to everyone that attended our 2013 event.

We were very lucky and blessed with good weather, we had such a beautiful setting and fulfilled our promise of a cornucopia of food, drink and entertainment!!

Thank you, thank you so much for all your kind donations to the local food banks via the Food Mountain. The Food Mountain reached a whopping 7ft 6” high and filled a staggering 26 wheely bins which is just amazing!! The Bognor Regis and Littlehampton Food banks are completely overwhelmed with the generosity of everyone.

Thank you also to Councillor Paul Wells the Major of Bognor Regis, the Arundel C of E Primary School and St. Mary’s Catholic Primary School, whose children and teachers kindly gave their time to launch the Food Mountain, the children had a great time and it was wonderful to hear all the excitement at the launch.

For our first event we couldn’t have asked for more. We are truly thankful for all your support and look forward to seeing you at more events in Hotham Park, so please do keep in touch!

Below we would like to share some of the great feedback we have had from our September event…

“Just wanted to say well done for the weekend. There was a good atmosphere throughout and I felt it was a very welcome quality event for the town. Lots of my friends have also said how much they enjoyed it, and as a stall holder I had a ball!”
Miranda Cormell

“Many thanks for organising and running the Big Bite Festival last weekend.  Overall for me the weekend was good and I would certainly be interested in partaking again next year.”
Dawn Shrives, Proprietor, Le Salon Du Chocolat

“Well done with the organising of the Big Bite event at the weekend! Everyone that we have spoken to has been pleased with the way it went and we were impressed with the organisation and turnout. Our stall received a lot of visitors. Hotham Park was an excellent setting and I’m sure that all of us at Turner’s Pies and the local residents are looking forward to the next one.”
Peter Turner, Turners Pies

“Considering this is the first time you have held an event in Hotham Park I feel that you provided a quality Food festival that does have the capacity to develop into a major annual festival for the district. The event was laid out professionally with quality marquees and you provided a large variety of food and drink providers. I also feel that you were committed and worked extremely hard to engage with the local community. I look forward to working with you again in 2014.”
Phil Graham, Events & Leisure Development Officer, Parks & Greenspace, Arun District Council

“We had a really successful time at the Big Bite and we are really pleased with the result! So thank you for letting us take part!”
Kitty Treacy, RSPB Event Researcher

“We all had a fantastic time and would definitely do it again. I’d sold out by 4pm on the Saturday!”
Jo Rea, Lead Support Organics, The Aldingbourne Trust
